2degrees Mobile came into the New Zealand telecommunications scene as a challenger to the giants. After 10 years of “fighting for fair” prices and value for the customer, they have been embraced as a people’s brand that is uniquely Kiwi. Deloitte Digital was engaged to mobilise a growth transformation program in collaboration with the in-house teams, and leverage their recent brand refresh to re-platform the website.
As the project planned for gradual releases of the new site rather than a single re-launch, the program elaborated on requirements, design and development through a series of selected customer journeys. An initial 5 weeks was spent exploring creative concepts for the new styleguide, as well as a deep dive into the journey for prepaid customers. Through a series of design sprints we co-designed with stakeholders in workshops and demos, facilitated resonance and usability testing in-store, on site and remotely, and built out the foundation of a design system that can continuously evolve as new journeys are elaborated.
